American Pilgrims On The Camino Online Event

Returning from the Camino and Keeping the Camino Spirit Alive

For over a thousand years pilgrims walked to Santiago de Compostela and then turned around and walked back home. The duration of the return journey provided time for self–reflection and integration for life after pilgrimage. For modern pilgrims, the joy of arriving in Santiago can quickly vanish after a plane ride home and a sudden immersion back into everyday life. Because of that, we may feel unprepared, or perhaps don’t want to step back into living life in the same way as we did before we left for Spain. Some may feel the gifts of the Camino slipping away because daily reality takes over.

In this presentation, we will talk about why the end is really a beginning and how to keep the Camino Spirit alive upon your return home.
